Data we collect
We collect only the data needed to route public onboarding, support, KYB, payment status, and developer access workflows.
- Identity and contact details such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, business roles, and support references.
- Merchant and biller details such as legal names, registration numbers, operating addresses, settlement contact details, KYB evidence references, and risk declarations.
- Technical details such as request IDs, device signals, route context, audit timestamps, and security events.
- Support notes, complaint records, document-review outcomes, and communications needed to resolve onboarding or payment issues.
Why we use data
We use public onboarding data to create accounts, assess KYB readiness, route support requests, protect payments, issue developer access, and keep audit evidence for accountable operations.
We also use data to prevent fraud, enforce eligibility rules, support sanctions and risk screening, and meet partner-bank, payment-network, tax, audit, or regulator requests where applicable.
Recipients and retention
Recipients may include KENAC Zimbabwe operations, approved support staff, secure infrastructure providers, KYB and document storage providers, partner banks, payment processors, professional advisers, auditors, and regulators where required.
We keep public onboarding records only for the period needed for the workflow, legal obligations, dispute handling, audit evidence, security monitoring, and regulatory retention. Final production retention periods must be confirmed in the KENAC Zimbabwe retention schedule.
Data-subject rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability of your personal data, subject to identity verification, legal retention duties, fraud controls, and payment-dispute evidence requirements.
Send rights requests to dpo@kenac.co.zw with your name, contact details, request type, and any Billie reference number. We will acknowledge the request and route it to the privacy owner for review.
Complaints route
Raise privacy complaints with the DPO first so KENAC Zimbabwe can investigate, preserve evidence, and respond through the correct support or compliance route.
If a privacy complaint remains unresolved, the public regulator route should point users to the POTRAZ Data Protection Authority complaint process. This page uses placeholder wording until final legal review confirms the exact complaint instructions.
